Mrs. Juanita Bohnhoff has been selected to be the “Honored Quilter” of the 2011 Quilt Show, February 3-5, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Robertsdale United Methodist Church located at 22220 Highway 59, Robertsdale, AL.
Mrs. Bohnhoff, selected by members of the Central Baldwin Quilting Queens quilt club of Central Baldwin County Alabama, has been quilting for approximately 40 years. The first quilt, “Hearts and Flowers”, was done on the challenge from a friend. When asked how many quilts she has quilted she responded, “way over 100”. All of her quilts have been for family members and friends. Displayed on the wall of her apartment in Fairhope is “A Stained Glass Garden Quilt”. All the fabric for this quilt was hand dyed by Mrs. Bohnhoff and three friends.
As “Honored Quilter” of the Quilt Show there will be one room completely furnished and decorated with Mrs. Bohnhoff’s quilts and hand work. She will be on hand each day to greet show guests and fellow quilters. This photo shows her with one of her beautiful quilts.
